ABOUT US

At "That One Place," we believe everyone has a story that connects them to the cannabis, which is personal for us. Our journey started with a shared goal to help others manage pain and find balance naturally. One founder's experience with military injuries led him to discover cannabis as a soothing alternative to traditional treatments. Similarly, the founder sought relief for her daughter’s chronic pain when conventional methods failed. Together, we created "That One" to provide safe access to cannabis, understanding personal stories that drive people to us. It's more than a business; it's about transforming lives through medicine.

Story

"My childhood was blur of an alcoholic yelling in my face while he swallowed pill after pill for pain. My father was in the army for ten years, gaining injury after injury, then prescribed pain medications that only increased in dosage and payment, with no end date in sight.then to numb the pain from his job, his standard coping mechanisms to turn to beer, every night; creating a cocktail of dependency and harm, both for him and his family

this caused fighting throughout our family. Each day was met with slamming doors, shoulders knocking you out of the way, and screaming that you are a disappointment, for majority of my childhood. That is until he granted medical leave and an ultimatum from my mother to leave him, and he begun searching for new ways to cope with his pain, both mentally and physically.

my 12th birthday will always be my favorite birthday; my dad was officially out and was able to try medical marijuana. My little brother and I went swimming in the hotel pool that we were at until we had o go back to the room, and automatically there was a difference. My dad seemed lighter, he wasn't limping around and was hardly relying on his cane, and he smiled at us.

My dad has been using medical marijuana for ten years now, and it has made such a huge difference. He still has his bad days that we have to work through, but they are much fewer and far between. He is able play tug of war with the dogs without needing to take a pill immediately after, he can sit outside and enjoy the Fourth of July fireworks with us, he is so much happier."

He now owns a medical dispensary in town with the same vision that he did when he first started using medical marijuana, helping people with their pain. He gives out to the community, organizes and feeds the homeless, and connect people with people if he doesn't have the resources himself. It has been a beautiful experience to watch him grow into the person her is today, all with the help from a little plant."
